I enjoyed my time in Lost Ark just like I enjoyed my very brief time in New World. The current formula for the game wasn't going to entice me to stay for the amount of hours needed to grind for raids, etc. There wasn't really going to be anything drastically new and interesting. So for me, I made the decision to stop playing Lost Ark for similar reasons. I beat Elden Ring, Ghosts and Core Keeper since quitting and now playing Demon souls and having a blast. Why do this endless grind when I can go have new experiences in hundreds of other games like Elden ring, Demon Souls, Ghosts of Tsushima and Core Keeper. Does this sound fun to me? No it sounds boring and a waste of my time. I was at the point where the only thing to do in the game was grind for gear by logging into the game daily for x compass event and do the daily stuff for months and possibly years. I asked myself what is the formula for the game going to be and will I enjoy it? I then had a similar moment that I had experienced after playing New world. Got to t3 1365 IL with 4 alts at t2 and 1 alt at t1 which was about to hit t2. I played for 358 hours a since week ago when I quit the game. I expected to play for a month ended up playing for 2 months on the NA release. I had a similar experience coming into Lost Ark after playing on RU briefly. I enjoyed what I played but looking at what the rest of the game had to offer I knew the choice to stop playing at 30 was the right one at the time. At level 60 it is just going to be a gear grind that I've done countless times in every other MMORPG to the point that gear grinds are no longer fun or interesting for me.įor me all of that was incredibly boring and not worth wasting my time. The leveling formula will be the exact same as it had been from 1-30 as it will be for 31-60. Concluded that the fighting will be the exact same at level 30 vs level 60 in terms of combos - basically no new interesting combos.
So I sat there and asked myself what I'll be doing from level 30 to 60 and beyond.
Got to level 30 basically had my weapon skill tree completed. I got my worth out of NW during the beta.
